Postural dysfunction or “Poor” posture is defined as when our spine is positioned in unnatural positions, in which the curves are emphasised and this results in the joints, muscles and vertebrae being in stressful positions. This poor positioning results in a build up of pressure on these tissues.
Proper posture means that the body is aligned so that all our muscles, ligaments and joints work as they were designed to. Improper posture, on the other hand, uses inefficient muscle coordination, causing our muscles to do extra work.
We offer effective ways to move, sit, stand, reach which helps the patients to correctively improve their posture.
