COVID-19 Update
Patient & Staff Safety
Physical Therapy Centres and all of our clinics are working diligently to keep up with the recent changes regarding the COVID-19 virus.
All of our clinics will remain open in a limited capacity to follow proper AHS guidelines. We know that some of you need essential care, but under no circumstances will any person be allowed into the clinic who has symptoms or who may have been exposed to someone with the virus.
These are the procedures we will be implementing to ensure your health:
We will be limiting the number of people in the clinic at one time. This includes both patients, therapists, and staff. We ask that patients only come to therapy and family/friends stay home or wait somewhere else outside the clinic until the therapy session is complete.
In addition to our normal cleaning schedule, we are sanitizing the entire clinic 3 times daily using AHS approved disinfectants and methods. This includes cleaning all surfaces including weights, med balls, bands, etc.
We are also disinfecting all surfaces before and after each patient use, modalities, and washrooms.
You will be asked to fill out a form questioning if you have been in contact with anyone exposed to COVID-19, have travelled recently, or are symptomatic. Our front office staff will be asking you if you have been in contact with anyone who has been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, if you have any health issues or are at risk, or if you have a fever These questions will be asked for everyone’s protection, and certainly not to offend anyone.
You are required to wear a mask upon arrival and during treatment for the safety of those treating you and those around you. If you do not have a mask, we will provide you with one.
Please immediately sanitize your hands upon arrival and leaving the clinic.
You will wait in the common lobby area at a distance of 6 feet from others.
If when you arrive, you appear to our front office staff to have any cold/flu symptoms, please know that you will be asked to reschedule.
Please remain 6 feet from others in the clinic, and avoid touching additional surfaces. Please no hand shaking.
If you have questions for your PT, and you wish to stay in Shelter-in-place, we will be happy to call to talk with you on the phone.
If you learn that you have come down with COVID-19 and have been in the clinic in the last 2 weeks, please call to alert us immediately.
We hope to continue to provide the care that you need in a limited capacity. As guidelines are changing quickly, we will update you as soon as possible with any changes. If you have any questions, please call any of our clinics or email us via [email protected]
Please feel free to leave a message, and we will return your call, as our front office staff is experiencing a much larger than usual call volume. If you choose to cancel your appointments during this time, we completely understand. Please simply call the office to let us know.
Our goal is to continue to provide the care you need in a safe environment!
